In our first year, Wisconsin Reading Corps served 250 children. Today, we’re the nation’s largest AmeriCorps tutoring program and serving nearly 30,000 children each year. Since 2015, our tutors have helped more than 200,000 struggling Wisconsin students become strong readers by the end of third grade.
Making Wisconsin stronger, one syllable at a time.
Currently serving students in Milwaukee, Racine, West Allis, Waukesha, and Watertown, our tutors help kids become better readers and get on track for future success. Mastering reading by the end of third grade helps position students to be more capable learners in grades 4-12!
